Album Release Date and Tracklisting Announcement

We’re happy to announce that our debut album, “(Hey, We’re) The Disclosures,” will be released worldwide on March 8, 2011.

It will be the first “thrift-rock” album in history and available where ever you download music (iTunes, Amazon, Napster, etc). We will also be selling physical copies of the album on CD at shows/events where we perform as well as online at cdbaby.com.

Above is the back cover of the CD and in case you missed, here’s the cover art. Thanks again goes to Dustin Stone Photography for taking the cover picture and all the pictures used in the artwork for our album.

Here is the tracklisting:

  1. (Hey, We’re) The Disclosures
  2. Movin’ On With My Money
  3. Credit Union History (Fact)

  5. The Ballad of Friedrich Raiffeisen

Waterslides, Credit Unions and Rock n’ Roll – We’re Emceeing the Wisconsin CU League Covention!

The Disclosures are set to host an education session and emcee the Wisconsin Credit Union League’s 77th Annual Convention, May 4-7 at the Kalahari Resort in the Wisconsin Dells.

Our ed session will deal with credit union history and philosophy and feature us playing several original songs from our new album (which is finished and soon to be released!).

This is how happy we are to play music for credit union people:

If you can’t make it to the Wisconsin League Convention, maybe you can catch us at one of our other upcoming appearances?

The Disclosures to Play Milwaukee Chapter Meeting 1/20

As you may have noticed The Disclosures have been hunkering down focusing 100% on our first album. We haven’t played live since September! Instead, we have been writing and recording the first “thrift-rock” album in history, which we want to be as amazing as it sounds in our heads.

However, when something comes up so close to home and it’s a group we love…then we are there.

So come see us play a few songs next Thursday night, including a live performance of our single “The Ballad of Friedrich Raiffeisen!”

Right in time for International Credit Union Day, The Disclosures are proud to release a track from their forthcoming album, “The Ballad of Friedrich Raiffeisen”. This song celebrates the inspiring and oft-overlooked life of the father of the credit union movement, Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen.

The Disclosures to Play Zuzu Cafe 9/10/10

Mark your calendars and tell your friends – The Disclosures will be playing as part of Zuzu’s monthly artist showcase on Friday, September 10, 2010.

The show starts at 6:30 P.M. and two other artists will be performing that night.

Zuzu Cafe is across from Vilas Zoo and is at 1336 Drake Street.

The Disclosures plan to play some of their favorite covers as well as debut a couple songs from their forthcoming album. Be there.

Preparing to Rock

We’re working hard on our first album and wanted to share some details. First, here’s how we prepare before every recording session:

Training Montage

We’ll have 7-8 original tracks, all showcasing different aspects of credit unions: history, philosophy, heroes of the movement, etc.  But make no mistake — these songs are designed to rock socks off and blow down doors. We want people to enjoy the music first and foremost, and not necessarily realize we are instilling the cooperative spirit into their soul.

Since we do this outside of work and spare time is sporadic, our release date is fluid but we’ll have it ready sometime this fall.

Thanks for listening and stay tuned!

UPDATE: We’re still training – look for the album in early 2011. We want it to be perfect.

A website appears! Next…an album?

Yesterday, we spent some time working our songs for our first album/EP. We’re looking at 7-8 tracks right now and over the next few weeks we’ll be recording and sharing sneak peeks whenever possible. At the same time, we’ll be building up our website and getting some other surprises ready too.

Big thanks to all who have viewed and shared our videos and songs, and special thanks to those who have sent us lyrics and song ideas!

There’s a whole lot of creativity out there in credit union world, and we look forward to rocking on your behalf.
